Earlier, the the CBI had given a clean chit to Chidambaram in the 2G scam, Pranab has raised issues in a 14-page note sent to the PMO.While CAG had assessed a "presumptive loss" of Rs. 1.76 lakh crore. At first the CBI, during its probe into the 2G scam, had pegged the loss at around Rs. 30,000 crore. The telecom regulator surrenders citing its inability to quantify the exact loss to the exchequer, as the auction would have catch anything beyond assumption. The Supreme Court on Wednesday expressed surprise over TRAI report, which purportedly assessed zero loss in the 2G spectrum allocation. Thanks to CBI which atleast withstand this Zero-loss theory of TRAI.
